I've been to Tijuana once when I was twelve. Have been to Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Went to Kentucky, Fort Knox to see my son graduate boot camp, in '89. I did have a major vacation road trip back in Sept. 2007. My son and his family invited me to go to Moab, Utah for some serious bike riding. They rode, I and my granddtr took a much easier hike to view the local rock formations. Although I did hike to Delicate Arch. What an experience! I saw sights I didn't know existed, along the way to the Grand Canyon. One of my places to see. One down and many more to see.

More about me

 I'm an out going person, I like people, like traveling.  I love to learn new things so I find a lot of my information on the internet and television.  They kind of go together.  Finances kind of limits my travelling and NOW THAT GAS IS UP TO $4.20 a gallon; I'm not going anywhere.  PEOPLE SHOULD PROTEST!!  I will travel  maybe 30 miles to go to a festivity. I live in the country and the nearest town is 20 miles away so I am very ANGRY about the fuel prices!!  Now I have to stay home and not go to town unless I absoulely have too! My passion these days is entering 5K walk/runs.  I have to plan my errants around those days.  This summer will be worse because the gas is going up to $5.00 a gal.  Does anyone remember 25 cents a gallon?  I can't get it out of my head!!  I went to LA with only $5.00 in my pocket and that is over 300 miles away!; in my 56 Chevy; burning 2 gals of oil there and back!  I was single and spontaneous in those days.  Left caution to the wind.  I like most competitive sports.  Swimming, running, biking, etc.  One draw back, I dislike cooking, although these days, I'm finding myself on the Cooking Network most days.  I do like arts and crafts, sewing; doing things with my hands.  Love music, most kinds, and I use to love dancing, although I don't do much of it these days, hip pain.  My husband is my best friend and cheers me on in all my endeavors.  I love spending time with my son, daughter-in-law, and the love of my heart, my little granddaughter.  I have 1 son and 1 grandchild; so we are a tiny family so my thoughts are always on them.  I was the one who was going to have a dozen kids if not more.  So my cup runeth over!  I love children and animals. 

Activities

Watching lots of TV, sewing, knitting, crochet, scrapbooking, photo taking, computer, walking, biking, crafting, (check out my 2011 softball banner for our girls, ) costume designing, (Holloween), I do this every year; I love animals and most sports.

Favorite Charities

I am especially fond of our armed forces and contribute to the Disable Vets. Boys Town, Salvation Army, etc. I guess I contribute to whatever envelope shows up at my mail box. I wish I could contribute more, but then there is only so much we can give. So now I just sign up for a walk/run and know that I will be contributing yearly to the same organization.

Favorite Music

I like most music, not rap or some jazz. Mostly music I can dance to. I like classical for napping.

Favorite TV Shows

My very favorite is the Dog Whisper, the National Geographic, the Animal Planet, HGTV, just about every program on that station, I love doing things with my hands. I love movies with a message. I don't like stupid comedies. I like documentaries and true stories. I just think your mind needs to grow with information. I don't know what I'm going to do with all that info, but it just makes me feel good that I'm learning.
