More about me

I have lived in upstate NY  my entire life, I often think of retiring to the southwest region of the United States, but am not ready to move that far from my grandson and granddaughter. My housemates consist of two dogs and two cats, all of which at one time were homeless and somehow ended up here as my friends, entertainment, and wonderful companions.

I am the oldest of 7 girls, my parents are both still alive, and we all live within 50 miles of each other - how is that for stability!?

I ended a 23-year long career about 2 years ago to turn a part time pet sitting business ( Peace Of Mind Pet Sitting) into a full time venture. So far I have had no regrets and am adjusting just fine to having peace of mind for the first time in almost a quarter of a century!

I love to read, watch movies, share ideas with friends, walk with my dogs and cook. I stay active and healthy and hope to continue on this life journey for many years to come. As someone I admired very much was fond of saying "have a good day, a better tomorrow and remember....the best is yet to come."

    May your stuffing be tasty
    May your turkey be plump,
    May your potatoes and gravy
    Have nary a lump.
    May your yams be delicious
And your pies take a prize,
    And may your Thanksgiving dinner
    Stay off your thighs!

Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true
    measure of our thanksgiving.

I hope your Thanksgiving weekend is filled with love, laughter and
    relaxation.
Have a Safe And Healthy Happy Thanksgiving
