- More about me
-
The eldest of 8 kids, my mom had me at a very early age. Subsequently at 18 months I was given to my great aunt and uncle who raised me. I didn’t find out about my birth mom, or that I had sisters and brothers until I was 10.
I really loved my two Moms. I know that I've been truly blessed to be love in return by two very remarkably strong and courageous women.
Both my Moms have passed on; my Mom who gave me life passed away on February 21, 2009 due to complications caused by diabetes.
With the exception of my youngest sister who lives in Florida, and the third oldest sister who passed away in November of 2006, my siblings all live in various sections of New York.
Our son is a U.S. Marine. He’s already done a tour in Iraq and earlier this returned stateside from a deployment to Japan.
In between serving his country, he took time out to take a wife. She’s a sweetheart. They celebrated their one year anniversary in July. We’re already looking forward to new grandbabies, tho my son assures us that we'll have to wait awhile. They bought a puppy.
In May of 2007, after 35 years of taking courses at various colleges and universities in Chicago, I finally received my BA in Computer Studies.
My husband and I celebrated 34 years of marriage in September. A thirty year veteran of the Chicago Fire Department, he officially retired last year. He was always on busy companies and so gung ho and passionate about being a firefighter that it took me awhile, but now I finally believe him when he tells me that he doesn’t miss being a firefighter.
After suffering concussions, burns, numberous scraps and bruises, a heart attack, plus 3 knee operations - all duty related, with the most recent operation taking place, in March of 2007, he's just happy to be able to leave the job relatively healthy.
We sold our home in December, 2008. We had planned to move to San Antonio, TX, instead, we ended up moving and buying a home in Columbus, OH, where we now live with my daughter and our grand kids, seven year old twins. In December we'll celebrate our one year anniversary as Ohioians.

strong, and I love
her.
Help her live her life to
the fullest.
Please promote her and
cause her to excel above her expectations.
Help her shine in the
darkest places where it is impossible to love.
Protect her at all
times, lift her up when she needs you the most,
and
let her know when she
walks with you,
She will always be
safe...
Love you Girl!!!!
