I was born in Santa Monica, CA. I went thru school there and graduated Santa Monica High in 1960. I married in '62 and had 3 step-sons 1,2,3 that I later adopted. A year later I took my husband's Bro & Sis they were 4 & 3. I lived in Colton and got my AA degree in '66. My husband and I divorced in '72. I kept all 5 kids. I moved to Bakersfield and had a boy in '75 & a girl in '78. I moved to San Bernardino in '78 Attended Cal State University. Got my BA in '86 and worked for San Bernardino Unified School District until I retired.
I am now in my sixties. I have raised 7 kids (5 boys and 2 girls). I have 29 grandchildren. Not all near me. Six of my grandkids I see almost everyday. I have a granddaughter that lives next door with 5 greatgrandkids. I have alot of great grandkids. I'm not sure how many great-gkids I have. I lost count around 37.
I now am raising a granddaughter that I've had most of her 14 years. She has kept me more active and young. She gives me some of my best times, but also some of my worst times. That typical for the teens. It seems to be more of a challenge today but maybe I'm just older. Yet, I am lucky to have her in my life.
I have 5 cats and 2 dogs that I love very much. I'm retired now. I worked as a surgical tech, deputy sheriff, correctional officer and then as a teacher and resource specialist. Also a lot of extra jobs I did along the way.
I love being retired and don't miss work one bit. I keep busy with grandkids, computer, crosswords and reading. It is just my granddaughter and I so my time is my own most of the time. I like to learn new things and keep up with current events.
I enjoy eons. I like getting to meet new people and I like to play the games too. I hope to add many more friends as time goes by.
