Hi, My name is Bill and I am Diabled with Cerebral palsy and Polio from birth.  I am married to Carol ,my wife.  Been married together since 1999.  I have tryed  to do things with my hands even though the y hurt most of the time.  I am doing volunteer work for the Independant Living Resource Center in Kansas with all the other disabled people there in and out of wheelchairs. I love Wood Working but cannot do much of it any more. My hands are crippled. I love to grow vegetables including in the pots now, since I cannot do it in the ground no more. Grow tomatoes, Zucchinies,onions, squash and strawberries.I hang most of them because of the bugs.  This is Carol , I work at Walmart fulltime, Bill does things at home to help me.  With the dishes and lunch and Dinner.  He sometimes brings me breakfast to bed in his wheelchair. It does not stop him when he is allways in pain. He has had alot of surgerys in life and in the chair it does not stop him since he has other medical prblems including Diabetes with insulin.

Activities

My love Gardening now in Pots since I cannot get out in the yard with the wheelchair no more. I love some woodworking too, making little cars and trucks for kidds for Christmas and holidays.I also LOVE to cook in the house or on the Grill or campfire. Was in Boy Scouts for 9 years and I got my Eagle Award in 1973.

His Helping Hands, take about everything 2nd hand and does not sell them. They fix things and also give out free food to those that need it.
