Places I've been

I have lived in Las Vegas most of my life. I also lived for a while in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I love the desert best of all. I have done a lot of traveling in my life. Mostly in the United States. I have been to the Bahamas and to Hawaii, but my trip to Alaska was the very best of all. I wish everyone to see that marvelous place. I have been into Mexico and also thru Canada. All of the places I have been were nice, but when it gets right down to it, I'll take Vegas every time. I am a 75 year old female. Was married for many years. Have been divorced for 20 years. 5'4" and have the typical middle aged spread. My hair is still dark. Have no idea why as my daughter was greying at 16.

I have lived in Las Vegas for 53 years and would never think of moving. When I came here it was still a small town and I liked it much better then. I was born in Texas and moved to New Orleans when I was 19, stayed there for 2 years. That was enough, had an opportunity to come to Vegas and it has been home ever since.

I am a NASCAR nut. I was into racing before NASCAR. It was my Dads fault as he too was heavy into racing. As the ad says "Can't get away from the TV and Speed Network from Friday thru Sunday and then back again on Monday for TWIN. I am not the most brilliant person on the subject, but neither are a lot of the people that I read on the different sites.

I retired from one of the major hotels June 6-00. Have enjoyed my retirement for most of the time. But got bored a while back and now have a part time job. So with my home, a lawn and trees and flowers and 3 dogs, and a fishpond with 17 large Koi. Most are named after race drivers. Also like to travel and bowl and go out with friends for meals. Then glued to the TV for the good part of 3 days, I have a full life and am having a ball.

I guess if there is more that you want to know. You will just have to ask. I answer any and all questions. At my age, why play games?

I was asked about the picture that is up on this site. Yes that is me with Mikey when he came to Vegas in 2004. So we are both just over 5 years older now. But aren't we cute together?

Activities

I like doing what I want to do when I want to do it. I bowl, lawn work and am able to do most jobs around the house except electric. I like to travel and I like to stay home. I like going to meals (all 3) with my friends. I follow politics to some extent. I like bowling but am no longer allowed to do it. I play games on the computer. I like sitting in the gazebo and watching the Koi swim around and playing. I like talking to my friends on the internet. I like my part-time job and liked my full time job before I retired.

Favorite Charities

Victory Junction Camp, St. Judes. Most of them are not giving as much to the people as they are keeping for the Board of Directors.

Favorite Music

I have no preferences of music I like. But I do not like Rap of any sort. They talk faster than I can hear. I have country on in the car.

Favorite TV Shows

I don't watch much TV. Do not like 30 minute situation comedies. Just don't find them funny. But my very favorite channel is the Speed Channel. I'm a Nascar and racing nut.

Favorite Movies

all 5 of the Death Wish series, Brubaker, I am Sam, anything with Charles Bronson or Sam Elliott. I have over 2000 movies on tape. I love them all.

a series of American Indian stories by the first female shamin by Lynn B. Andrews.

Favorite Places

Vegas of course, Alaska, the desert, smell of the mountains but no snow, San Diego, wild animal parks. Hate Wal-mart and shopping. I liked D.C. and would like to go back some day. No beaches. Have an ungodly fear of water over a foot high. Goes back to my childhood.

I like all four legged creatures even those that slither.
