More about me

I grew up in the forties and early fifties, whereupon I ventured out into the world as it was then.  I was a military man with a military air about the caliber of Beatle Bailey and his crew for about four years.  I did enjoy the people I met along the way though.  I also enjoyed the places I was sent which I otherwise would not have seen, like the Far East, a few islands, and some of the states finally ending up in Washington, D.C.  I still correspond with one of the chums I met in Japan.  I wish I'd kept in touch with more of them, but I was young then and I thought too busy.

 Including my military time and civilian ventures I worked for forty-two years and retired when it became possible ten years ago.  I've been asked many times, "Aren't you bored?".  I can honestly say I have never for one day been bored.  I still live with my girl friend I met in high school and she is still a dish, although she now sports a new knee (arthritis).

 I love all the electrical gadgets we now have to amuse ourselves, especially the computer, and yes I even have a blog I contribute to on a more or less, sometimes less, regular basis.

I've developed a likiing for writing in recent years.  I write mostly fiction, poetry, yes not very good poetry, about one step above roses are red, violets are blue.  I do not, at least yet, write much about politics or other things that enrage most of us.
