Currently, I am living with my mother in Nebraska in order to help on the family farm and to provide companionship and care. Currently, we are irrigating 15 acres that we lease out for pasture. Other chores are maintaining the outbuildings, yard work, and providing whatever meager mechanical skills I have. I work online full time as a medical transcriptionist from home at nights and do the upkeep on the farm during the day.
The big news is that my son is getting married on 06/09/09 (tentative date). They are paying for the wedding themselves. The colors are silver and lavender and the theme is seashells. For a wedding gift, I am giving them a honeymoon in Jamaica. We are going to be doing a lot of the decorating and such ourselves as the bride is a very sensible young lady who does not want every expensive option there is. LOL They are spending the majority of their budget on the dress, the cake, and the photographer.
