Hi - I'm Seagazer (because that's what I mostly do from my Pacific-view home in cool, beautiful Humboldt County. I purposely took my final job here at Humboldt State University so I could retire in this very special place. Here, I'm both at the beach and away from the pandemonium of the cities. I retired from a career in what I refer to as Civil Rights law enforcement - actually my second; first, I was a college English Instructor. I married at 15, which gives me quite the jump on most of you in the childrearing and grandparenting fields: two kids in their late 40's and seven point four grandchildren; three great-grandsons. They are distributed throughout the state of California, and none is closer than a six-hour drive, but I still see them all as often as I can.
