ART: The activity of creating beautiful things.

53 years old, Married, Living in Paradise (aka Hawaii). I'm an ol' cowboy (paniolo), worked up on Mauna Kea Mountain, Keolahoe Ranch in my youth. A misspent youth indeed, riding rough stock in the rodeos (Bulls & Broncs). High school sweetheart who later became my bride put me straight on the cowboy life though, and right after the wedding I became a straight laced office professional, 9 to 5, kinda guy. 

Beyond that I'm a semi-interesting guy,
only humility keeps me from saying fascinating!.  Well
educated, yet still quite clueless (but fascinating).  I'm married to a wonderful woman whom I love endlessly!

I'll say one thing for myself though...I'm a
better book than my cover.

I write poetry, I share some below in the blog entitled "A few Bits of Poetry", not a bad blog title if I do say so myself.  I paint a bit (but I suck at it!), yet feel compelled to share some of them as well.  Did I mention that I was fascinating??? :-)

I'm looking to make a few good friends.  Perhaps a circle of comrades that share similar interests in the arts, including, but not limted to, POETRY, Literature, BALLET, Classical music, PAINTING, good deep conversation (also an art), and opera...well maybe not so much opera.  ;-)

Activities

Writing long lonely poetic verse as I lean out over the precipice of life. Okay, perhaps that's a bit dramatic, but I do like the exhiliration of melding the disparate thoughts, wondering through my mind, into poems expressing the creative moments that sometimes dance past the reality of my day. So there :-P

Here is where I say "I don't watch much TV", implying that I'm above that sort of thing. But I must admit I suffer guilty pleasure over shows such as Grey's Anatomy, House, Ghost Whisperer, and yes even American Chopper. However in my own defense I am planning on reading a book someday. ;-)
