Places I've been

I've been in most of the states, and to Bermuda, Hawaii, and the Bahamas. We used to own a vacation house on the NC coast, on Oak Island, but we sold it about five years ago. I loved Oak Island, but I like the NC mountains even more. I have seen New England in the autumn, and it is beautiful. But the NC mountains can take your breath away just as quickly in the fall. All things considered, my favorite place is home - here on the outskirts of China Grove, NC. I can't imagine living anywhere else in the world.

I'm a 59 year-old grandmother of two, southern born and bred.  Have been married for over 40 years to the same stubborn man, lol.  In 1995, after working for many years in banking, I had a stroke and was forced into early retirement.   The hubster is still working, so I spend lots of time by myself.   I love life, and I love people - especially the witty ones...

My mobility is somewhat limited, but I enjoy travel, cooking, interesting conversation, and watching my grandson play football.
