I have two (adopted) former hometowns, Boston and Sarasota, FL. I've spent some time in the following locales, Seville, Lausanne-Switzerland, Madrid, Perpignon-France, Barcelona, the Yucatan, the Bahamas, and all over Oahu. Domestically I know the State of Florida blindfolded as I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, went to Art School in Sarasota, and doubt there are more than 20 sq. miles I haven't traversed repeatedly down in "the swamp" as I refer to FL! I lived and worked in Kansas City, while I was an Artist and Conceptual Product Designer with Hallmark Cards at their world headquarters.I simply adore Boston and Cambridge and New England generally, (once Red Sox Nation seeps into your DNA, it never leaves.) I'm currently enjoying my wonderful life here in blissful Orange County, CA.

I'm an artist possessing the requisite quixotic heart and soul. I've somehow managed to make elegant peace with my past, I've loved extremely well, and I have a easy sense of humor. I'm traveled, curious, politically liberal and progressive, thriving on film, art, humanitarian involvement, training for a triathlon, enjoying the fabulous natural environment, kicking back AND kicking it into gear. I'm very comfortable in my aging skin and body. Enjoying my independence. Not only am I happy with the many new "virtual" friends I have here, I have an interest in meeting a (real life) guy with something very special, and I'm content being alone in lieu of that.
Despite being a visual artist, I'm interested in substance over style, altruism over self absorbtion, cooperation over control, empathy over apathy, curiosity over conservatism.
I greatly enjoy people who are as spontaneous as they are sensible, as passionate as they are patient, as curious as they are content, with a humorous hubris. My 'style' is whimsical, unconventional, playful, funny, with a serious, intelligent and introspective side. Have you made contributive efforts in an area such as medicine, literature, education, the arts, the environment, politics or human or civil rights? I have enjoyed speaking publicly about important issues, rolling up my sleeves to help others, and fighting for better, innovative solutions. I'm really as comfortable getting my hands dirty in play and work, as I am refining the aesthetics of home, art and dress.
After decades of rich and eclectic experiences, knowing and loving people from every social, economic and ethnic strata, living in New England, South Florida, Kansas City, and now in Southern California, I'm very content living alone with my two kitty children here in beautiful coastal Orange County, CA. I make my living as a freelance illustrator and designer while I'm in the process of going to school to update my software skills to further enhance my work and career. I love my surroundings and wouldn't want to live anywhere else ~ unless I had a tree house or second home abroad to spend part of the year! I'm a water baby and thrive near the Pacific, and in the swimming pool when the ocean temps are too frigid.

Crafting a life is high art. I'm grateful for the expansion in my world view which my past relationship history has given me in a myriad of ways; bitterness, anger or regret are largely foreign to my personality make-up. I'm infinitely curious and childlike, thriving on travel and cultural emersion experiences, eco and humanitarian travel, and exploration generally.

I have three independent and happy grown sons who've blessed me with two lovely daughter-in-laws, and I'm gonna be a Nana next Spring!!! My kids live in Portland, OR, Central Florida and South Carolina. I'm a political animal, coming from a political family -- my Dad ran for the U.S. Senate, unsuccessfully. I drive a Prius, thank God, which gives me 48 mpg, and I love creating a warm and inviting 'nest' where the doors are always open and the wine's always ready for friends and family. I'm forever up for attempting new experiences and forging new frontiers.

Warm wishes to you and all you love, LesLee

I enjoy having popcorn and ice cream in bed with a great NetFlix pick late at night, goofing around in the pool doing summersaults underwater after swimming laps, massages, training for a triathlon, giving and receiving massages, and laughing uncontrollably until I can't stop! Staying connected to all the people and places I care about. Film, reading, research, lectures, visual art and artists, the cosmos, social psychology, anthropology, politics, getting my hands dirty trying to make good things happen, entertaining friends & family. Good wine, good food, good music, good company and ambient locale - preferably simultaneously!

My large personal library says it all! I have never met a book I didn't like. My favorite poet is R. Tagore. I'm a bookophile, with a private library containing many subjects and genres. I'm currently reading The Eloquent President (Lincoln), recently Bush On the Couch, The Assault on Reason, It's Not News - It's FARK, The Memory Keeper's Daughter, Alfred C Kinsey - biography, Unchecked and Unbalanced by Frederick A.O. Schwarz Jr.

From Ancient Egypt, "The stars in our eyes are a reflection of the stars in the sky, and the stars in the sky are our home." “Where Do [War] Victims go?” "but first into the air, then into the water, then into the grasses, and eventually into our food? . . . It means there is no way to live without ourselves becoming in subtle and powerful ways those we have destroyed." Krieger is a courageous, poignant poet who dares to tackle the emergency of our current struggle for humanity’s survival, which may be, in the end, why we write poetry.
