Places I've been

I was born in Portland Maine but grew up in Massachusetts. First in Saugus and then Lynnfield which is where I graduated High School. In the summer of 69 I went to Israel to work on a Kibbutz and do other good works with a group of kids from my Temple. We stopped briefly in Germany, Holland and Italy before going on to Israel. My wife and I love to travel and last year in May we did a great trip back to California. We drove from San Diego up to San Fransisco. We took 10 days and had a blast! Even got to see Clint Eastwood's wife at a breakfast place in Carmel. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of old Clint himself but his wife had to do.

More about me....well lets see. I was an IT contractor for many years (email and database systems administration and support were my specialty) but the commute, age discrimination and burn out caused me to call it quits in 07 (also my Dad passed away that year and I spent a lot of time travelling to and from Florida). Since then I was able to be home to oversee the renovation of our home in Pembroke and get more into the things I liked to do in my spare time when I was working. I play guitar, take pictures and post them on my Flickr account, go bicycling whenver I can (we have a small fleet of bikes. Including 2 battery powered assisted and one battery powered tricycle). I also enjoy pc gaming which is one of the activities that got me into computers way back when (the mid eighties actually. My first pc was a VIC20 by Commodore). I was a Novell CNE back in the early nineties after graduating from BU's computer education class. Worked for a company called Vanstar which was bought out by it's competition several years back. I have contracted at many of the major corporations in the Boston/Cambridge area. To include: The Gillette Company, Biogen Idec, Northeastern University and many more to numerous to name here. So I'm kind of a geek. I love alternative music which kind of sets me apart from many of my contemporaries who don't like that kind of music very much. We love going to concerts and shows and have a wide variety of venues here in the Boston area to quench that thirst. We also like our sixties bands and do go to see some of them when they come around. Basically I am an easy going old hippie who has just recently started to "grow up". But not too much.
