I graduated from Iola High School in 1972. I'm currently working with the reunion committee, planning our 35th reunion for Memorial Day weekend this year.
College Name
Allen County Community Junior College. Graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree. Didn't go on to a 4-year college, I had no idea at the time what to major in . . it's one of those "if I knew then, what I know now . . ." I would've trained to be an Occupational Therapist. But at the time, I'd never even heard of one! Not the first time it's been a case of "too little, too late!"

Due to a series of health problems, I'm currently not employed. My favorite job in the past has been working as a para-educator in special education classrooms. Those kids just wrap their way around your heart!

About me?  Well, when I first joined Eons, I obviously didn't know anything about a profile page, did I?  About me is listed under History, and I just don't feel like going to all the trouble of moving it over here!  Guess that tells you one thing about me.  I figure I did good to be able to put it somewhere, so I'll just leave it as it is---like the old saying goes,  if it ain't broke, don't fix it!  It may be a little bent, but its not broke!

I cut my musical "teeth" on rock n roll, so it's still my favorite. But I can listen to a wide variety of music and still enjoy it

Smallville, Ghost Hunters, Vampire Diaries, Consiracy Theory w/ Jesse Ventura, and of course my one and only soap, The Young and the Restless and am the manager of a group about it here on Eons!

Favorite Movies

Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original with Gene Wilder, I'm a big Gene Wilder fan) Back to the Future, and Speed (the first one of each series) Disney cartoon movies--all of them! Plus too many more to list!!

Favorite Books

Dune, and some of my favorite authors include Stephen King, David Baldacci, Jonathan Kellerman, Janet Evonavitch, Tony Hillerman. My favorite reading material includes sci-fi, novels and mysteries, with the occasional biography thrown in for variety.

Favorite Places

I've never really gotten around much, but love the Hill Country in Texas, the Flint Hills in Kansas--and would love to make another trip back to Vegas, for more than 4 days. There's just sooo much to see there, you can't even begin to scratch the surface in only 4 days!!!

Favorite Animals

I currently am owned by 3 cats, but also love dogs and most other types of of domesticated animals. But I have no desire to own a snake or a tarantula!!
