More about me

I am a quiet person, but that doesn't mean I don't have anything to say.  I am an upbeat person, I always find a reason to smile or laugh.  I am not a worrier, I don't think anything can be solved by worrying about it. 

I was a stay at home mom until about 12 years ago, and I have found that I love working outside the home. 

I have four beautiful children, all grown now.  My oldest is 34 and my youngest is 21.  I also have 6 of the most beautiful grandchildren anyone could ask for. 

Most importantly, the last few years I have new joy in life and in being a woman....hence the name "NewWoman". I have finally found the courage to be ME, and not what others expect me to be....and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Activities

In my spare time I like to read, or do some kind of needlework. I crochet and do cross stitch. I like going for walks if it isn't too hot. I love the snow, probably because I live where it doesn't snow, but I like going to the mountains and playing (yes I said playing) in the snow.

I do alot of volunteer work for the Salvation Army.

I like almost anything except rap, heavy metal and opera.

I don't watch TV very much, but I do like to play along with Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

Favorite Places

I went to Asheville NC when my daughter was in college there and fell in love with the place. I loved the mountains and how green everything was.
