Hello, I'm Joe, a single male, a son of Bavarian immigrants. Born and raised here in Southern California. My father was 50 when I was born; My mother was 44. I went to Catholic schools until 1966. Graduated from the, San Fernando Valley State College which has been renamed: California State University, Northridge. Recieived my B.A. cum laude in Mathematics in 1970.

I worked with my father in the family business since early childhood until my father's death in 1982. He was a traditional, realistic sculptor whose favorite medium was bronze. His works ranged in size from 1 1/2" diameter medals to two ton 1 1/3 life size bronze figures. He also loved animals-depicting lions, tigers, buffalo, owls, panthers,polar bears, grizzly bears, brown bears, jaguars, anaconda,big horn sheep, antelopes, elk, moose,cougars,mountain goats, sheep, assorted breeds of dogs, and other animals.

After my father's death, I had to start a career all over again, not unlike many other members of eons. I worked odd jobs--tire salesman, handyman, painter, etc.

My big break came when I worked temporarily for the city of L.A. as a maintenance and construction helper on re-furbishing the original barrel of the L.A. Aqueduct. Subsequently, I held numerous positions until now I am A Senior Wastewater Treatment Operator. Yes, my career is in the toilet, but it pays well. However this tidbit of information does not help in attracting women. Some have recoiled in horror and immediately leave in fear as if I were playing the lead in a Stephen King Movie.

I'm a bald, bespectacled, overweight guy that is loyal, decent, hard working, responsible, and honest, a guy who likes women. Past experience has been that when I am with a woman, she is on the prowl looking for an upgrade. In the vernacular--"She has never really been into me." I've been always Mr. Reliable, "I can always count on Joe--until something better comes along."

So that is the major reason why I have never been married. I won't settle for third or even second place. I don't care how good she looks. I hope that she will have the same qualities that I will bring to the table.

I'm a very open, spiritual person who is not into converting anybody else; I am still working on converting myself. I don't lecture nor judge. Judgements don't work.

I have an interest and appreciation for any form of craftmanship, creativity, philosophy, and scientific experimentation.
