- More about me
-
I am 51 years old, a Sagittarius. My real name is Cherylan, but I have always been known as Shan.I am married with 3 kids. A 21 year old daughter, an 18 year old son, and a 15 year old daughter. I have been married for 28 years, and have been with my husband for 34 years. We met in our senior year of high school. I live in a big old house that was converted from a potato storage barn, it is 3400 square feet, and is beginning to feel pretty empty, now that the kids are mostly away from home. My oldest daughter lives in a little town about a half-hour from here, mu son just graduated from high school and will be attending Monroe Community College for two years and then will be moving on to R.I.T. with a degree in Bio-technology. My youngest will be a sophmore in High School this coming September. We live outside Mendion Ponds Park, a huge park in Monroe County, NY. I love to garden, but the deer eat everything planted, so now I simply dream of planting, though there are a few plants that I have managed to cultivate that they leave alone. We have always had a German Shepard Dog- the last one lived 14 years and we had to put him down in February of this year. We now find ourselves with 8 cats- 5 of which are kittens thanks to an unspayed female that we took in for a young man in the Navy. We were not aware of her condition- and neither was he- or so he says. Oh well, they are beautiful kittens, and it has been a good experience for the kids to see. Our other 2 cats are outside cats (we have 8 acres and have been outside their whole life-they have their shots and all- they are well taken care of) So- when we get the kittens adopted we will be back down to 3 cats. Which is more than enough. I work for the local schools, and love my job.
