About Me
"Normal" is a sociological anomaly.
30 seconds? Get real... this is the only place - anywhere in the world - where it's really about me. I'm takin' my time.
I'm planning to wake up alive again tomorrow morning.
There's a price to be paid for everything.
I'm the prototypical Type B personality.
Left alone, I'd sleep 'til 9:13 a.m. every day.
There's a difference between demanding respect and commanding it.
Live today to its fullest; tomorrow never comes.
I try to surround myself with people who are wiser than I am; so far, so good.
Be who you are, and be proud of it.
"A man's got to know his limitations".
Life is full of hard choices.
Some days you're the dog, and some days you're the hydrant.
You only live once; stir up as much crap as you can.
The walls we build to protect us also serve to imprison us.
I ask only three things of death: for it not to be painful or lingering, that I maintain my dignity, and that I not take anyone out when I go. Unless it's intentional.
I object to authority without discipline.
I'd never survive without music. Music heals.
As soon as I figure out the answers, someone changes the questions.
Very few of us are lucky enough to live our lives with our soulmates.
Most days I want; some days I yearn.
I think it's OK to fall as long as you get back up.
I believe in me. And a very select few of you.
Almost never say almost never.
I sometimes have difficulty containing myself.
Never mistake kindness for weakness.
I surprise myself every day.
I don't make the same mistake a third time.
Some people have the power to restore youth in others.
I spend a lot of my time looking for the "undo" button.
Beauty is not just skin-deep.
I work in Oz, complete with good and wicked witches, flying monkeys, and the sorry little man behind the curtain who relies heavily on smoke and mirrors and governs with fear and intimidation.
Never trust or believe people who are divisive or people who name themselves for things that are.
You are no better than I, and I no better than you.
I'll never act my age. Or even half my age.
I rode a motorcycle for 23 years. I stopped once or twice for gas and to go to the rest room.
As a rule, I trust animals more than I trust people.
I'm completely at peace with myself.
Real friendship is forever.
Whoa! Where am I? And what am I doing in this handbasket?
I've never really understood women. Is there a manual?
I'm a working drummer and guitarist, and a bad pianist.
Make peace before you wish you had.
Feeling anything is better than feeling nothing.
Kindness, compassion, intelligence, honesty and a twisted sense of humor go a long way in my world.
I may forgive, but I never forget.
I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid.
Wisdom can't be bought, nor common sense legislated.
Anger destroys friendships.
I wear my heart on my sleeve. Please don't punch me in the arm.
I'm entitled to my delusions.
I trust unless I have a reason not to.
Open arms also let go.
I refuse to debate politics or religion.
Notoriety necessarily precedes validation in only two places: the dictionary and Hollywood.
Humpty Dumpty got nothin' on me.
Life's too short.
Abusive, mean-spirited, arrogant, self-righteous or self-absorbed people have no place in my life, my personal space or my mailbox.
I believe that no one should have to work for more than 30 years.
I spell my name with only one "T" because I only need one.

Trying to keep a sense of humor in spite of all the "stuff." But come Thursday (day of my brother's surgery) may need lots of big shoulders!
