I am retired from public service.  Grateful for what I have, I try to give back to the community by volunteering.  My current endeavour is with Hospice, which I've been with since 2006. Running our household keeps me busy and wonder how I did it when I worked full time. I'm constantly looking for ways to pinch a penny, and am certain that when I did work full time I was always getting cheated by the phone companies, credit card companies, grocery stores, ect. Who had time to review every bill presented every month? I often catch some little charge for something I didn't want or order. Or an item at the store scans for more than the shelf ticket said it cost. So my big project for 2010 is to get organized! I do okay at home, but could use an overhaul in the paperwork department.

 I enjoy chatting on Eons. I opened a couple of rooms about a variety of topics. I hope you peek in one or two of them. If you like what you read, come on in!! If I am the manager or moderator, I can almost guarantee there will be good folks there, and lot's of thought provoking subjects. Humor is always a high priority with me. And I have a great affection for people who are kind.

 

Activities

RVing has become a wonderful way of life (and will continue as long as we can afford fuel)!! I am a lucky fisher-lady in that my husband baits my hook and cleans my fish, but I usually do the cooking. I like to paint, but am not very good at it. I enjoy visiting with the grandchildren when ever possible. It seems that my doggies have become my kids these days. I like to garden when the weather cooperates.
