Kerala and Darjeeling, India, for sure. Bhutan is like being in a dream. I was born and have lived in Northern New Mexico for most of my life... I've lived other wonderful places... however... I still cannot get my fill of the aroma, the sky, the light and shadow play here in the mountain desert! This place echoes through my soul.
Favorite Animals
How can I name one over another with the possible exception of seals...don't know why, they creep me out. I remain mindful of our responsibility to safe-keep as many creatures as is humanly possible and so protect our blessed Mother earth by every action.

Doctors Without Borders, Free Tibet and most anyone I encounter with a need I'm able to fill, time being of the essence.

I adore music with the exception of most operas and I'm not crazy about Jazz. I love South American, Native American, East Indian, Flamenco, Balinese, and Classical. Of course The Boss~Bruce Springsteen, Seal, Tom Petty, Hip-Hop and Rap, The Eagles, U2, Cold Play, Rev Run, Beyonce, Bette Midler, Usher, and.....!
Favorite TV Shows
Anything on Link TV... Curb Your Enthusiasm, Big Love, Dexter, First Blood, Iconoclasts, Californication, Weeds, Meet the Press, Fareed Zakari, Rachel Maddow and news documentaries.
Favorite Movies
Milk, Doubt, The Bow, Brokeback Mountain, The Field, Freida, No Country For Old Men, and almost all foreign film. The Milagro Beanfield War is my all time favorite as it captures an essence of Northern New Mexico beautifully. I love old movies and imagining our grandparents lives and ways.
Favorite Books
No doubt, too many to even remember! Dreams From My Father and The Audacity of Hope, certainly! Anything by Tahir Shah, Thich Nhat Hanh and the Dalai Lama, as well as Satish Kumar (the ultimate peace-filled environmental warrior) and all the amazing Buddhist writers. I love biographies and fell, enraptured, into Shantarum and A Fine Balance, as I do most East Indian fiction. Team of Rivals, The Black Swan and anything by James Frey or Russell Simmons and Thomas Friedman.
