Grew up in MI and FL - Parents were snowbirds before it was cool. Married Air Force (research) ... lived NM, Dayton, OH, Columbus, OH, Dayton and then NC. A lot of motorhoming so have seen most of US except the far west. What a beautiful country!

Who I Am, Sorta.....

Being born was definitely not my idea.  I had nothing to do with it and I was madder than spit when it happened!  My older sister wasn't thrilled with my intrusion into her perfect set-up either, that of the only child.  I originated the term, "cry baby", and cry I did for 6 long months.  My family was convinced by now that this child (me), was going to be nothing but a handful and a worry for the rest of their lives.  I surprised everyone.

I'm a quiet person, enjoy my own company, I can be quite funny when I forget to be serious.  I should have been an engineer, because I plan ahead, way ahead.  Nothing is left to chance.  I'm my mother's daughter in that I've enjoyed painting and art, have entered shows with my work, love my home and decorating and also music (piano and singing).  When the children were grown, my role changed to that of a caretaker.  I had the skills, so why not me.  My father used to say that all my life experiences were designed to give me the wisdom, knowledge, and capacity to someday care for him.  Bless you, daddy.

My best school chum re-entered my life 10 years ago, and we've been kicking up our heels ever since.  I'm rediscovering who Bev is all over again and having a great time.  We've been cheated out of many years together, but we're doing our best to cram as much life into what's left to us as these bodies will allow.

Activities

I'm at peace when I'm working in my yard. Enjoy just getting my hands in the earth and smelling the smells. Also love to escape the day to day routine in our motorhome, even if it's just an over-nighter 10 miles away. I also enjoy painting and decorating, used to love cooking but have burned out on that one after all these years.

Like most music except hard rock and rap (don't understand it). Love anything that has a good baritone or bass. Favorite music is that done by Randy Newman, the "old" Beach Boys ...oh yes, and Il Divo give me the goose-bumps.
