About
- Relationship
- In a serious relationship. Interested in meeting people for friendship and meeting people for networking
- Hometown
- My hometown is Riverdale, Maryland which is considered a DC suburb. Since I am an only child, I had a lot of friends back then. We would hang out at a small store called Dumm's Corner or at the local Rinaldi Bowling Alley (in those days, they offered duck

High School Name (City, State)
Parkdale High School Riverdale, MD I loved my high school years 1968-1971. It was rough at first because my father had died in Jan. of that year. I was very active in the science club, astronomy club, french club, literary club, etc. It was a time of innocence, looking at the world through rose-colored glasses, and had my entire future ahead of me. I loved learning and having fun. It was one of the best times of my life!
College Name
Fort Valley State University Fort Valley, GA Returning to college at the age of 36 was a hard decision at first. My mother had passed away a few months before. I just knew I could do it. I made one life long friend from 1991-1994. She has turned out to be like my sister even though she is 10 years younger than I. I really disciplined myself and studied 6 out of 7 days per week which was worth it!~
College Graduation Year
1994 at the age of 40, almost 41. I graduated summa cum laude. I was very proud and felt that my parents and maternal grandparents were looking down from heaven. I am the first one in my family to graduate from college. That is quite a feat in itself.
College Graduation Major/Concentration
BS in Veterinary Technology I have always loved animals. I was one of those kids that always brought home strays to my mother's and grandmother's detriment. I had worked as an LPN for 15 years before getting burned out. I enjoyed the medical field and remained in it. The Veterinary side does not pay well but my interest has been on the research side. It is hard to break in however. Now I think I am not getting hired because of my age. Just a feeling.
Occupation(s)
LPN Vet. Technician Agricultural Research Technician Planetarium with NASA at one point as a teen Telephone Interviewer Retail off and on for 35 years
- More about me
-
I have always hated talking about myself. Where does one begin? I've been married twice with two rough marriages. The better of the two was my first one which produced 2 kids, ages 34 and 31. My last husband left almost 7 years ago which devastated me. I dated once since then and have been leery about dating since. I do get lonely at times but between being a scifi buff and loving movies as well, I try to keep myself busy. I also love my music too. My favorite kind of music is classic rock but I do listen to others as well. Led Zeppelin has always been my favorite group and Stairway to Heaven is my favorite song!

Courage is the complement of fear. A man who is fearless cannot be courageous. (He is also a fool.) There are two ways of forming an opinion. One is the scientific method; the other, the scholastic. To the scientific mind, experimental proof is all-important, and theory is merely a convenience in description, to be junked when it no longer fits. To the academic mind, authority is everything, and facts are junked when they do not fit theory. Be wary of strong drink. It can make you shoot at tax collectors... and miss. If you pray hard enough, water will run uphill. How hard? Why, hard enough to make water run uphill, of course! Does history record any case in which the majority was right? Quotes by Robert A. Heinlein
