Places I've been
I have been to England and Scotland twice. I want to retire to Scotland, it is so beautiful there. I also have been to several states and have enjoye d them all. I would eventually like to visit them all. I really love Stone Mountain GA and have been to the Highland Games there several times. I love listen to the Celtic harp. I find it very soothing. Of course, there is nothing like the skirl of bagpipes to really get my blood going.

More about me

I love to read, participate in competition shooting, riding my motorcycle, blogging, and just generally having fun. I love to meet new people. I have a strange sense of humor and am at the age where I'm not afraid to show it! ha ha

A favorite quote to explain things:

" SHE IS TOO FOND OF BOOKS, AND IT HAS ADDLED HER BRAIN"
LOUISA MAY ALCOTT

I also have a great love of Scotland. I have been there twice and have not wanted to come back. I feel such a kinship with the place. I wish I could find a job there or at least be able to retire and move there. My ashes will make it there, even if I don't get to make it back while I'm still breathing--hee hee.

Hi soozeq1--Thank you for the heads up on the books. I have ordered them and will enjoy them I know. I hope you get this message since you seem to be a little hard to contact. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Hi - just read your comment elsewhere about your favorite book New Song for a Strange Land. I love that book too, and hope you already know about the two that followed it. Seven Days to Lomaland and then The Crossing Fee. It is so cool that you actually read that book so young, as I found it in my 50's and after reading thousands of books somewhat like it, still think it stands as one of the best (funny, heartbreaking, insightful) ever in the genre.
