More about me

I worked for 35 years as a research chemist at different locations.  I had two postdoc fellowships at Dartmouth College and UC Berkeley.  After those, I worked as a process development chemist at Celanese Chem Co in Corpus Christi, TX.  I finished up at the California Dept of Health in Berkeley and Sacramento working to help setup the first state hazardous waste control program in the USA and later in drinking water setting up a state-wide database to track public drinking water quality.  Now retired, I ride bikes: view link . I live on 6.5 acres along the Sacramento River where I enjoy the peace and quiet of the country and great biking roads. Also have my "toys", including a diesel tractor, PU, fifth wheel, stable of bikes, motorcycle, workshop and assorted computers. My other past times are reading, especially Sci-Fi, movies, photography and gardening. RETIREMENT IS GREAT!
