i've been in every state in the lower forty-eight except s.dak, either by bus, train, or thumb. i spent 13 months in s. korea in the sixties, i've hitch-hiked across canada from quebec to alberta and back again, and i've lived (for at least a month) in at least 13 of the states i've been to or through and finally found a home in washington state. all others were merely way-stations to this point.

any by w.s. churchill, or about him. any by j.r.r. tolkien, right now i'm into robert jordan, terry gookind. george r.r. martin, stephen lawhead, jack whyte, david & leah eddings. mostly fantasy but i enjoy a good political thriller, or a courtroom drama, now and then for a change. i also enjoy the Bible, though maybe not for the reasons you might think.

J.F.K. 1961 "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." bertolt brecht "Do not rejoice in his defeat, you men. For though the world stood up and stopped the bastard, the bitch that bore him is in heat again." winston s. churchill "we will fight him on the beaches. we will fight him on the landing fields. we will fight him in the hills. we shall never surrender!
