I'm 82 years old, retired 22 years from a 34-year teaching career. My lovely wife, Marge, also a retired teacher, and I live in Joplin, MO where we own and operate a tiny bed and breakfast. We have been open for almost three years. We thoroughly enjoy hosting guests. We continue to make new friends, thus enriching our lives. View our website: www.bitofedenbnb.com or access our listing with www.bbonline.com. Look for B&Bs in Joplin, MO.
My education began with two years in an eight-grade, one-room country school. Most often I rode to school, a distance of two and a half miles, on a horse, behind an older brother. Often, in nice weather, I walked.
The remaining years through highschool were spent at the demonstration school on the campus of Central State College, now UCO, in Edmond, Oklhoma.
Throughout life my main interests, other than teaching, have been centered around art and art-related activities. To view drawings and paintings dating back to 1948 or 1950, click on the following:

For the most part, life has been rich and rewarding. It has been marred by losing two of our three children to diabetes.
