I'm 84 years old and retired 24 years from a 34-year teaching career. My lovely wife, Marge, also a retired teacher, and I live in Joplin, MO where we own a tiny bed and breakfast. We have been open five years and thoroughly enjoy hosting guests. We continue to make new friends, thus enriching our lives. View our website: www.bitofedenbnb.com
Recently I discoverd a new art form, developing rocks' personalities. See my slideshow:

I discovered from the Chinese Zodiac that I'm a Fire Rabbit.
THE FIRE RABBIT 1927 AND 1987
Fire adds an unspoken magnetism and mystery to the Rabbit. These creatures have a burning desire to get out there and live life to its fullest. They are active and adventurous and love anything that sparks their creativity or curiosity. They can throw tantrums here and there, if provoked, but most of the time they work very hard to avoid conflict or unpleasant confrontations. Fire Rabbits are charming and tend to push their emotions into the backs of their minds, but will speak up if necessary.
My education began with two years in an eight-grade, one-room country school. Most often I rode to school, a distance of two and a half miles on a horse behind an older brother. In nice weather my sister, Mary, and I walked.
The remaining years through highschool were spent at the demonstration school on the campus of Central State College, now UCO, in Edmond, OK.
Throughout life my main interests, other than teaching, have been centered around art and art-related activities. To view artwork click on the following:

For the most part, life has been rich and rewarding. It has been marred by losing two of our three children to diabetes.
