Back in Southern California, I'm noticing all the things I love about living here. Slowly, I'm making my way to all my favorite spots, soaking in the sun and feeling grateful I don't need all those coats and scarves and gloves that I needed in Korea. Life is good.

I'm also hitting the pavements for work. It's a scary thing to come home to no job, especially in light of the slow economy here in the US. But I'm doing OK. I have 2 part time jobs and maybe a third by the end of the day. Life is good.

It's also great to connect with my kids, who are the light of my life, and to a wonderful man who had the patience to write to me most of my time in Korea. He's just as good in person as he was in his letters. Yes, life is good.
