Places I've been

I grew up in Lindenhurst and St. James, New York. (Hometown), I have done some extensive travelling and have lived throughout the US, England and the Phillippines. I really enjoy learning about other cultures and cusines. My passion is cooking and I do quite a bit of entertaining. Currently, as I am nearing another decade in my life, I feel like I would like to give back. I think I should somehow use my nursing experience and expertise in some worthwhile volunteer fashion. I have considered volunteering at Victory Junction ( the camp for disabled children ) or I would like to start an RN group of volunteers to assist homebound caregivers so they could get out once in a while. I have done years of community service with local groups such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Historical Society but I think I should use the skills I have acquired over the past 40 years.

5ft. 3 eyes of blue! I'm in the airline/medical industry. I'm an empty nester and have two cats, that I have rescued. I am divorced with three children. I was married to an Air Force pilot so I have lived all over the world. Most of my adult life, I have worked as an ER nurse. Having the travel bug, I became a flight attendant ten years ago. I keep up with nursing as a home care infusion nurse. I recently bought a motorcyle and joined a local club of bikers that go out on wonderful Sunday jaunts. Feeling good is important to me so I have been power walking on a regular basis for the past fifteen years to the beach, which is 1 1/2 miles from my home. I have a lot of energy and like to be on the go. Reading and music are passions. I rarely watch TV. Living in a very old house assures that there is always a project going on, which means I've taught myself many things. I'm a pretty good seamstress that I picked up as a kid never having a lesson. I put a positive spin on everything and believe sometimes it's just the path to be on so go with it! Have I mentioned Golf????
