Places I've been

I grew up mostly in Saginaw, MI, except for a year spent with my grandparents in Wichita, Kansas. As an adult, I have lived in Colorado, California, and Florida and visited many others. I have often traveled in Canada and have been to Mexico and France. My younger son lives in Texas and my daughter lives in Manhattan--so these are favorite destinations for me. Dear friends in Arizona and Colorado (my favorite state) are also favorites. Since I originally wrote this, (4 years ago), I have been to the British Isles--England, Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The weather was perfect every day and it was a beautiful trip.

More about me

I am the mother of 3 and have 3 grandchildren--one brand new! They are the light of my life and I always say, God's compensation for aging. I live with 2 chihuahuas, Lassie and Bat Boy. Their 2 babies, Belle and Star are now in their new homes.  They are the latest in a long line of dogs I have had in my life. The sole cat in my life, Sylvester, left me last spring after 16 years. I am also blessed with dear friends, old and new, near and far, giving me lots of excuses to travel.

 It really has been a long time since I've been here.  I gained another granddaughter in 2008, bringing my grandchild total to 4.

Dallas, Cagney and Lacey, Murphy Brown, All In The Family, The Cosby Show, Golden Girls--says a lot about my age. Currently, I like sit coms and news programs.
