More about me

I am a native Michigander.  I grew up in the Detroit area and lived there until I got married.  I now live in mid-Michigan near Owosso. I have worked at the local hospital for 16 years where I sort of retired from, but still work there about 7-8 days per month.  I have 3 kids.  All were living at home until last year but my oldest son now has a job in Livonia.  My daughter got a job working for the State.  My youngest son is still at home and is disabled.  My daughter is a Veteran's employment representative and is now living in Mt. Clemons.  My husband worked at GM for 33 years and is now retired.  I was diagnosed with MS in 1996 but continue to keep that under control.  I am a Catholic and very involved in our RCIA program at our Church.

Activities

I still work about 6-8 days per month at the hospital. Other than that, my husband and I have taken up biking. We try to ride about 10-15 miles per day weather permitting. I also spend much time on weather related web sites and do weather blogs for several including weatherbug. I'm involved in RCIA in my parish and have just started a new Catholic group here on Eons, "Today's Catholic". If you are interested in joining, let me know. Everyone is welcome.

I read mostly gardening or birding books or books on physical fitness and the weather. I'm not much into novels or fiction. I'd rather watch a good movie.
