More about me

I was born in Raleigh, NC and was an Army brat.  I married a month after I graduated from high school and had 2 children immediately.  I divorced, remarried and had another child, who is also grown.  I have 4 grandchildren.  I retired from Children's Protective Services, where I investigated abuse and neglect and got foster children adopted.  I loved every minute of it.  I began teaching school after retirement, but was called and told that my husband, who was also a social worker, who worked with APS, Adult Protective Services, had had a stroke.  He has recupped nicely, but I am presently his caregiver.  I love to read and used to 'eat' book, novels, and anything interesting.  However, I don't read as much, but still keep up with reading but not to the extent that I used to.  I love watching movies and conversing with friends and family.  I love reading the bible and studying.  I plan to return to our church school the end of the month.  It is very gratifying.  I am a people person, love children, conversing, playing games, watching movies, walking and playing games.  I was also in the Army but am very 'girly.'  I love shopping, walking my dog, playing with my cat, talking (in person) or on email, but not particularly on the phone.  I love 'face-time with friends and relatives.  I also love reading and learning and being around interesting people.  I am a Christian and love reading the bible.  I used to read all of my novels and spend 20-30 minutes reading the bible.  I changed my reading habits and could not be more satisfied.  I love Jesus and I love all people!

I love being with friends for conversation and fun. I love church and church activities. I love every kind of people, reading, writing, watching TV, cooking, traveling and communicating.

I love praise and worship music, quiet and calming music, some opera, instrumental, and all Christian music.

Mostly all Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, Gene Hackman, Brad Pit and Morgan Freeman movies.
