Welcome - Namaste' (Na - ma- stay)
A Sanskrit word used as a salutation or blessing.
Can be translated as "the divine in me honors and blesses the divine in you, in truth, we are one, the I A M.Thus I also believe ~ we are not human beings having a spiritual experience... We are spiritual beings having a human experience!
I am PhoenixSpirit - having chosen many challenges for myself in this life - I have faced those Fires and been Reborn.
I was born old and am on the path to becoming younger everyday by listening to my inner spirit.
I prefer to go my own way and not to lead or follow.
After a slight detour, I married my high school sweetheart and he has been a wonderful father to my two sons. I have been blessed to have a man who loves me for who I am and whether he will admit it or not we have a psychic connection.
My two boys are grown and incredible human beings. I am honored they consider me not only their mother but also their friend.
I have always felt children should be treated with both respect and as the complete souls they are - not less than adults because, they have less current life experience.I am Intutive and have felt I have had to hide a part of myself because there have been very few people in my daily life who understood and were not threatned by my spirituality, my passions, and my openess to new (or very old ideas), especially in the world of work. I have worked with and for children for over 25 years, (which is a very "conservative industry"). As I get closer to retirement I feel the need to develop my abilities and follow their guidance more closely.
I am curious about EVERYTHING, can be Naïve - but also a bit of a Cynic. I strive to Simplify, am Hopeful, an Optmist, and look for Joy in everything. I try to treat everyone with Kindness and give all the benefit of the doubt (because we don’t know what their personal path, battles and challenges are.)
We are here to Learn our Lessons, Assist all we can and be an Inspiration or the Angel to all of those who need us. I believe in Death and Life and our choice of Reincarnation.
I don't believe in Religion I believe in Spirituality ~ This is the path for seekers who have gone into their own minds and souls to seek their own truths and not rely on the dictates of those who may have their own agendas. I have been amazed at how few people are willing to follow this path.I love the way our experiences and heritage come together to color our thoughts and the people we become.
I learned to read at age 5 (and like Matilda) devoured every book I could get my hands on including the Book of Knowledge. My favorites sections were all of the mythologies of the world (Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Norse, Celtic.) In those days school librarians only let young children borrow books from certain sections and only come every 2 weeks regardless if we were ready for new ones. True happiness came to me when I was able to purchase my own books and to use a library whenever and however I wanted. Thus began my true education…
My mother was Italian - "came over on the boat," at the end of WWII, as an Army War Bride. Her being new to America and her war experiences had a profound impact on me. My father was her second husband. He was stationed in Charleston as an Air Force pilot/navigator when they met. His culture was French but his family had been in the New England area from Quebec almost a hundred years.
I was his only child, an "AirForce brat" born in the Charleston "Naval" hospital and literally came "Feet First" into this this Life and into this World.
My father told my mother I was here to take care of her, when he could not. And I believe he knew that he would not be.
My father passed when I was a baby (just 15 months later) but his parents were both the stablizing influence and the rocks I clung to during a very turbulant childhood. My mother remarried for the third time, when I was four, and stayed in a very unhappy marriage because that is "what proper Italian Catholic women did".
She had six other children most of whom I raised, both while I was still at home and then when she passed at the tender age of 50. She was an intelligent and open minded woman in many ways, but the cultural and religious limitations she imposed on herself made me question everything as I came of age in the 70s.After many frustrating discussions with my priest (age thirteen) and more intense study into the history and the spiritual beliefs of other cultures, I stepped away from our church... My concerns were/are that most organized religions and their dogmas are the perpetrators of many of our worlds ills - Crusades, Inquistions, Burning Wise Women, treatment of Native Americans, India under British rule, almost every major war, the Holocaust, currently the Middle East...- and they use fear to turn people into SHEEP - afraid to think or stand up for themselves.
"My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness."
I am happy to find EONS - a place to discuss, to question and to explore all subjects...
