I retired two years ago from a 20-year career as a special ed teacher.  My husband retired at the same time and we're enjoying our time together.  We have two grown kids.  My hometown is Grand Rapids, Michigan, but I've lived in Anchorage, Alaska, since 1973.  I'm a quiet extrovert, meaning I like to be with people, but I don't talk much.    I'm getting into volunteer work, but I also like making music--mostly playing piano--hiking weekly with friends on Alaska trails, drawing, traveling, and being with friends--online and in person.
