I retired in 2007 from a 20-year career as a special ed teacher.  My husband retired at the same time and we're enjoying our time together.  He has Parkinson's Disease, and we don't travel as much as we used to.  We have two grown kids, plus I have a daughter and older daughters across the country.  My more recent hometown is Grand Rapids, Michigan, because that's where Mom lives (Dearborn earlier), but I've lived in Anchorage, Alaska, since 1973. I'm a good listener and love to be with friends.   I've been doing volunteer work, but I also like making music--mostly playing piano--and hiking twice weekly with friends on Alaska trails.
