- More about me
-
Before I tell you anything about myself, allow me to tell you why I am here. I created this page as I have done on other “social networking” websites to interact with people around this great country of ours and just have some fun.
My goal for this page is to be able to make you smile or laugh out loud, make you think, and/or make you reflect on life and spirituality in general. Be sure to check out every aspect from my background information to all the videos and all the comments other post. I think you will find a special variety in the videos! Also, keep in mind there will be many major or even minor changes from time to time. Some of the changes may be just subtle enough that unless you look hard (no pun intended) you may not find them.
Now, let’s go on. The about me question often becomes awkward as one does not want to project the appearance of being conceited, pompous, or a braggart. However, I believe if one plans to make new friends or become reacquainted with old friends on this type of website they need to answer the question.
So, here goes. I am a businessman who has lived and worked in the Miami, Florida area for 30 years until recently when I moved and am now in exile in West Central Florida. (Yes, It is a long story but you can go ahead and ask). I have very strong moral and ethical values.
I approach everything in life with a very positive attitude. And I try to be as respectful and honoring of others as I can. I subscribe to the philosophy of the motivational speaker, Zig Zigler who says, “You get everything you want out of life, as long as you help enough other people get what THEY want out of life.” That has worked very well for me.
I am told I am considered humorous yet with a very dry wit. I can carry on a good conversation, and above all I pride myself on being a total gentleman. - Favorite Movies
- Favorite TV Shows
-
TV shows are subject to mood swings. I guess I would say I enjoy mostly current dramas and old classic sitcoms. I like things to be humorous and it helps a lot if it also contains atttractive ladies. I am not a regular fan of “reality shows” with the exception of “The Apprentice.” If I were to make a list of a few of my favorite shows I would probably list: Mad Men (on AMC), How I Met Your Mother, Boston Legal, CSI (only the original LV), Grey’s Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, Dirty Jobs, America’s Toughest Jobs, How it’s Made, The View (TiVo it because I love to grrrrr), 60 minutes, Paula Deen (bless her heart), The Factor, Joel Osteen, Bishop T.D. Jakes, American Chopper, and Oprah (only when Dr. Oz is on).
- Activities
-
Some of my activities include riding bicycles, spending time in the surf and sand, swimming and other water sports, playing golf (although I haven't for quite some time), doing community service work, window-shopping at a good mall, working in my small garden patio, and I find a Sunday brunch or browsing in a bookstore to be a pure delight. I could add to the list “girl watching” but at this point in my life I would have to call it “lady watching!” A close friend of mine plays in a band and I take pleasure in going to wherever they are playing, enjoying the music and I love to dance!

- Favorite Music

My music preference is very eclectic and subject to change do to time, place, mood, and what might be on my mind at any given time. By listening to the playlist in the widget section you will find this to be true. It may contain one song or maybe many, mostly Motown one day and totally church music on another day. That said, enjoy the playlist because I think you will hear some music you haven’t heard in quite some time!!
- Favorite Books
-
Because I have a mild case of dyslexia, I would rather listen to books on tape or CD. I read a variety of book types. Some of the ones that come to mind are: The Holy Bible (GOOD NEWS TRANSLATION), Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance, The Secret, The Purpose Driven Life, anything by ZIG ZIGLER, ..and any good biography. I find most biographies tell me quite a bit about affluent or successful people and how they overcame obstacles to become successful. The last book I read should be much closer to the top than way down here. The book is “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch. If you have not read it, go get it today!!
