I was born in Detroit, Mich., but spent most of my life growing up in Ohio.

High School Name (City, State) I graduated in 1967. College Name I did stints at Youngstown State University and Kent State University, but did not graduate. Occupation(s) After making the rounds through manufacturing, I finally landed my dream job at the daily newspaper in my hometown. I eventually became the editor of that newspaper and two others before retiring. In between, I've lived in many different places -- Michigan, Ohio, Hawaii, Texas, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Georgia, Wisconsin and Florida. I've written one book (unpublished) that tells the story of a WWII veteran, and I am working on a second and third.
