  • The thing on the water is a Do Not Enter line, the dam is to the left and front and no watercraft is allowed beyond that line. The state line is more or less at the middle of the water between the shores, in the image, imagine a line between the lowerleft corner and the upper right. The white mark along the scarpments is testimony to the highest elevation possible, attained in the 1940s and in 1983, this is 22 feet beyond normal full capacity. Today the level is 50 feet below full, there is another 500 plus to go to the bottom.
