  • Thank you Jacci....wow!!! 61 and still plugging along....you can't keep a good woman down....no matter what. When I woke up I was sick with a cold, but thank goodness I had two days off from work. I felt awful..sore throat and stuffy nose. I refused to let it get me down, I got up and took a shower and went for a walk before it got hot. I didn't have a birthday cake and I didn't have to blow out all those candles...probably would have had a bon fire.
No ice cream and cake....no fancy meal...that is my new way of celebrating my birthdays. I don't need that stuff anymore. I feel good about it and I really don't mind being 61. This is going to be a wonderful year and I hope that this time next year I will be even happier. Maybe the person who is buried in all this fat will be at my next birthday. I expect to be anyway. Thank you again for remembering me. You are such a special person.

  • How sweet - thank you for the compliment.

Just remember the WLS is a tool and only if you use it correctly will you be successful in your weight loss. I'm sure you will do well!

  • I know what you mean about the coarser hair, Charlotte has it right down the very center of her back, it's not much. She's going to groomer on Saturday and she'll probably get her usual cut to 1/4" to 1/2". Although I would love to see her with longer hair, but I have enough trouble taking care of own hair let alone hers!! LOL

  • Charlotte goes to groomer every 6 to 8 weeks (sometimes a little longer - depending on $$) I get it cut pretty short. I comb her face and ears every night when she gets her face washed and try to do her tail but she doesn't like that very much. She's also 1 1/2 and her hair is very soft and fine. I think if her hair were coarser it would be easier to have it longer. I saw another Shih Tzu at the Pet Smart, she's older about 15 and her hair is very coarse and the owner kept her's long. It was a weird cut, very short on top of her body and long on the sides.

    Lola is pretty cute.
