  • I found this for my daughter, but I think you might appreciate this too!

"Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you' re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... The one who turns to his friends and says, "thats her"....

  • Hope you're enjoying the Cubs 1st half! I was in Wrigley on June 21 for the Cubs/Sox game where the Cubs had 2 back to back in the same innning. My son and daughter-in-law took her Dad and I for Father's day and my April birthday. Billand I are Cub Fans while Shannon and Bob are Sox fans. It was fun!

  • Hey Kiddo,
Wow, I just noticed the nice 4th ditty you sent my way. Much appreciated. Yep, I am beginning to feel a little more human (and this is only a guess as I have never been quite sure that what I felt like is what HUMANS EVERYWHERE felt like). All I know is I am more capable of walking upright and don't catch myself moaning (literally) as though a gutteral outburst of satanic growls and urrghs, will somehow curtail the pain. When massive dosees (Unimaginable by charted medical history)didn't touch the pain, I knew I was going to take even more meds and add a few sleepers on top and not even attempt social interaction for at least a week. But I am forced to drive my client to Columbus (only 50) miles, today, so a shower will feel good, lol, and I will have a new and improved excuse to feel "too tired to cook" tonight and can just get back home, order him a Sub. and curl up with my lovely amber colored bottles with little white caps and all the "prety little ponies". You have a wonderful week, too, you, and know I have sent good thoughts and energy your way as you help your friend deal with his loss. I am quite sure, of all your friends, you are the one everyone just KNOWS is there unconditionally and full of heart. Peace, L

  • One of my favorites:

It is not the critic who counts,
or how the strongman stumbled and fell,
or where the doer of deeds
    could have done better.
The credit belongs to the man
who is actually in the arena,
    who knows the great enthusiasms,
    the great devotion,
    and who spends himself
    in a worthy cause.
    If he fails,
at least he fails while daring greatly,
so that he may never be
one of those cold and timid souls,
who know neither victory nor defeat.
