the climbing rose is a photo outside my garden and tweeked in photoshop with the watercolor filter.... This is the only rose bush that has survived here.... Maybe if I did not have a defeatist attitude when growing them that I would be successful!! Oh, I do have an old traditional bush transplanted here 10 yrs ago that I will post pic's of sometime....

Hercules does sit beside my chair most of the time... and is a bed hog....but look at those eyes.. he loves our family but he "only has eyes for me"!!!! He had to readjust to my new camera's big lense...just wasn't used to that thing sticking out so close to my face....a real protector!!!!

Thanks for the nice comment. I like those Prismacolor pencils more all the time; tedious, but fun. . . . Bill

Sorry, I can't retract the previous comment. It was in response to the comment that appeared on my profile from you that advertised images to use. You seem like an interesting person. I just like to see original work and not recirculating the work of others.

I'd rather use my own images. Most people in the drawing and painting group have their own images. We are creative. We don't need to borrow the images of others.

Thanks. Like I just said to Suzieb, this is what I call 'mindless activity.' LOL. The softening of all hard edges is something I played around with back in the '60s. It's something portrait artists do all the time as I'm sure you are aware.
