Took my 11 year old grandson to the GrandeOleOpry. We had no idea what to expect. It was a live radio show with commercials every few minutes! They even played or verbalized the same ones over and over. My grandson memorized them! After two hours of mediocre at best entertainment, Winona Judd came out, sang three songs and boom, it was over. We were incredibly disappointed. Thank goodness we have options to see cinema, television, and stage performances. This radio stuff is for the birds. I've seen high school performances that were better. I am surprised that anyone would attend these. Oh, wait. We did. Well, never again! Live and learn. Texas Lady
I grew up listening to the great older singers, cause my daddy, really love to sing them country songs. Chet Atkins was probably his favorite, but I still like the realism of the words and music. They are understandable...
Sunday night while staying at Two Rivers Campground we were treated to a marvelous singer and song writer names Ray Curtiss. Ray is from Knoxville TN and has a wonderful voice. I hope someone picks him up soon because once he is noticed he will be a BIG star. And I got to see and hear him WHEN.....Bill
