Hi Celeste..sorry this one took so long...I've been doing facebook and trying to keep up on all the posts etc..whew.. the shopping went great, she found her dress in the second store...it is sort of maroon and black with sparkles all over the outer skirt..strapless and we got her a black wrap for her shoulders..she tried it on for us here, and is going to look beautiful...I will send pictures when it happens..next week i think...she is in DC for two days, on the class trip..wow, 8th grade...we went to a lake in Syracuse for ours...my 11yr old went for a day to Philadelphia, and she is only in 5th... I do recognize those names of the groups, Randy and the rainbows and the Salutations...it must have been really neat to be able to hang with them back then....I never got backstage with Elvis, darn it, but did almost get a scarf ..our seats were in the fifth row from the stage, and i was up there with my eyeballs even with his boots...lol...he looked down at me, but don't know what he could see from up there...I was hoarse from screaming when we went home....He was sick then, and overweight, but i didn't care, he was finally here in our little city, and he was" my boy, my boy" he passed away three months later...I was lucky to have seen him twice tho, once in Phila and here...before the end.. hope Karen's grandfather is still ok...I do know about the elderly, I work with them every day almost....they are so fragile at that age, most of them... I saw your pictures on facebook, those oldies of you and your friends sure brought back memories I have a few like those somewhere... OK gotta run, hope to hear from you soon....
Hi Celeste...been so darn busy lately, so much going on around here, sat with the dogs and grandaughter this last weekend, I slept in my son and dIl's bed, and woke up with a big spider (I think) bite on the side of my leg..it itched like mad, and looked really angry,it is still there, but the itch is gone..that spider must have been a biggie, the bite is as big as a quarter....good thing i never saw it or even felt it bite me, I have a fear of any kind of bug and spiders top the list...next time, i told my hubby, that HE will be sleeping in their bed and I will be in the guest room, lol I'm going shopping for a formal dance dress for my 13 yr old tomorrow, my daughter asked me to come along with them, of course i said ok...it will be fun, it's her first big dance, she has asked a boy to go with her and he said yes, boy have things changed huh? it sure is chilly out lately, where the heck is June??? we had a frost the other night, it sure won't give up the ghost !! ok guess thats it from here, OH i did watch the last Leno show, and don't think Conan will be up my alley either, I liked Leno and Letterman is ok, just can't stand Paul Sheaffer at all, he is a jerk... write back when you can...bye for now Barb

Hey Celeste...finally got to post again..the weather is horrible, even the Yankees can't play a whole game without the rain..when is Spring?? I relate to the Catholic school education big time, I graduated from a small school and the nuns were good teachers, but really strict...I have stories that people can't believe about them...they meant well, but never could quite connect with teenagers. I was glad I went to parochial school tho. Tomorrow we go to my 11 yr old Camille's concert, she is singing a solo, and we are really proud of her...I turned down a movie night out with the girls to be able to go...I can always do that another time, they are young only once, so we have to be there for them while we can. Hope you have a great Mother's Day, I'm looking forward to the concert (EP) with my son.. that's on Sat night.... take care now, write back when you get a chance....Barb
