I have found a blend of therapeutic grade essential oils that can be applied to a cut, burn or scrape. Antiseptic blend 20 drops melaleuca - antiseptic ,anti-infectious, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-viral, anti- inflammatory, immune stimulating 20 drops naouli- Antiseptic, antihypertensive 15 drops lavender – Universal oil for healing and other uses 10 drops rosemary- antiseptic
Good to dilute this blend with olive oil or a pure blend of vegetable oil when it is applied to the skin. Usually 50 parts oil and 50 parts blend. Apply with cotton usually use an oil from Young Living that is a blend of c. Usually wrap or cover with a layer of ointment. (Roman chamomile). Dilute 50-50, 2-4 drops of the blend on the wound 2-5 times daily.
.There is a blend of essential oil that is mixed called Thieves. It is a mixture of cloves, peppermint, and cinnamon that is claimed to be wonderful. Usually the folks prepare a water wash with Thieves and warm water.
With a routine like this, it can promote healing. I saw a deep wound recover within a week or 10 days. Of course, you be the judge when medical help might be the best.
Usually, with my ignorance, I put Thieves on any of my skin cuts, scrapes & bites. It does burn but pain and inflammation goes down within a short time. Overnight, I have see quite a bit of healing
There are many oils and blends you can make or purchase. I only have hit the quick ones so far.
I saw some blends for the liver. It did note that it could effect skin. Again, dilute to help.
Liver Blend 30 drops Roman Chamomile- Is good for wounds. It is also suppose to expel toxins from the liver. 20 drops ledum- antibacterial, decongestant, diuretic 10 drops carrot seed- Tonic action for the liver. Has been used in jaundice & hepatic disorders. 10 drops celery seed- Helps flush out toxins, bacteria, minerals in kidney & liver. 8 drops German chamomile- Good for skin conditions. Expels toxins in the liver.
Application- Apply over the liver or use hot compresses with it. Again, maybe look to dilute it with vegetable oil (pure) or olive oil. They note about applying it to the reflex point on the left foot (bottom mid ) or rubbing it on the spine.
I have given you a quick & dirty explanation. If you do plan on doing this, make sure your essential oils are therapeutic 100% grade. Some oils you buy really are not that great. They dilute their product with some type of solvent and pass it on as therapeutic. My in-laws used Essential Oils from Young Living. These oils have gone through 3rd party testing and have been mentioned in medical studies. This not a push to purchase Young Living products, only that these product reflect 100 % grade oils. However, wife firmly believes in the product that much that she has begun to be a distributor.
If there is a bit of curiosity, her web page is www.youngliving.org/gcaldwell Whatever you choose, I hope your husband can start to eel better. Please understand, some cases require medical intervention. Sometimes, these oils can supplement or reinforce.
