Just came on board EONS Aug.27th, and read your interesting travel notes on Amsterdam. Good tips! As you've traveled extensively in Europe, perhaps you have some good ideas for us traveling in April/May to France, Switzerland,Italy. We're thinking Paris, rail to Normandy, rail to Switzerland to look up family roots near Aarburg, (Berne area),train to No. Italy (Tuscany and Lake District?) and home from Rome. Any suggestions for places to stay, at any of these places...(prefer not to rent car, xc perhaps Normandy), so think rail would be the best trans., one couple in early 70's but very mobile, and us in our 60's and travel well. Other couple have been to Italy several times, and we have about 2wks. Got ideas?? And have you written articles to pass along?
