Well,LOL!..I would like some company over here in the Philippines. First, let me be honest. As an American, you CANNOT own any land here. You have to be married to a Filipino to own land. If I buy land, (which at this point looks doubtful), it will have to be in my Filipino wife's name. Upside to living here: EVERYTHING except gasoline is much cheaper than in the states. FOOD, LABOR, and RENT are ridiculously cheap.Our monthly rent for a new, 2-story,2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment here is equal to $270 if it was U.S. money instead of Philippine pesos. Our water bill is $4 a month. Our electric bill is about $75 a month. You should come over here on a vacation and look around. I live near Cebu City, on the island of Cebu. Stay away from Manila, if you can. It is a cesspool and WAY overcrowded,much like New York City,only worse. I have been here since March of 2009.
