Trying to figure what Congress and Bin Laden have in common? YES I feel that way sometimes. I cant believe hiw the repugs can just keep saying that samr ol thing about not raising taxes back to where they were under clinton and they keep getting away with it!!!
It's ironic that we depend more on celebrities, especially comedians, to further the fight for human rights and individual rights than we do on politicians. I admire Stephen Colbert for many of the issues he has attacked in his own way and I hope he continues fighting the good fight until there are no more causes he feels the need to take up. I'm campaigning for Democrats this political season and will be campaigning again for Obama in 2012. We have to stay strong and committed so that we dont' slip back into the hole Bush dug for us.

You're misjudging me, or perhaps you haven't read enough of my postings in the groups I am in.
Let me state clearly that I thought Bush was about the most abysmal excuse for a President I've ever seen. He was only President because the Powers That Be rigged, fist Florida, then Ohio. His Presidency, as run by Cheney and the PNAC, almost destroyed us.
But the American people slammed Obama into office. He started off great. First, the necessary stimulus bill. The diplomatic corrections of our foreign policy, so we could work together with other nations.
But to correct our path, he needs to be more assertive. Leaving as much to Congress and his Cabinet as he has will not work. He messed up HCR by leaving it in Baucus's hands. He is listening to Geithner and Bernanke too much on financial issues. He's not pushing hard enough for oil independence. And I am still waiting for some solution to the global warming crisis.
Will he be a great President? As you noted, he's only been in office 8 months or so. It will far more time to tell one way or the other.
