As a child during WWII, we moved a lot in Iowa and Illinois... Kalona, Washington, West Burlington, Burlington, Moline, and back to farms in Iowa. Attended college in LeMars, IA, Iowa City, and Ottumwa. Worked in Des Moines and Iowa City. During U.S. Navy service, stationed in San Diego, Coronado, the Far East, and Midway Island. Have lived in the Twin Cities since 1965.

I was a pre-engineering major who switched to fine arts. I've drawn all my life. In 1962 I happened onto an opportunity to get into the infancy of the computer industry. Aside from several years as a freelance artist/graphic designer, I continued to work with computers, and still do, now primarily building websites, which also includes graphic design.
I'm divorced, with 2 delightful adult daughters, and live most comfortably in a small apartment close enough to walk for basic shopping. I work at bodybuilding 3 times/week, and maintain a healthy diet, as part of a casual plan for eternal life. I do considerable volunteer work, and also continue my connection with the art world.
