I am self-employed as a medical transcriptionist at home for 18 years. My job is phasing out with the advent of Electronic Medical Records. Not sure what is ahead employment-wise...maybe a career change is in order? We will see. UPDATE: I was hired at Kohl's over the past holiday season, and I am so happy to say that they've asked me to stay on as a permanent part-time employee with their company!! I am so happy!! I am now working the 2 part-time jobs and that meets my financial needs.
I joined the Red Hat Society 5 years ago and have met some really fun ladies. If you are not familiar with the Hatters, we really do not serve a purpose other than to celebrate our "over 50" status with one another--we wear red & purple on our outings....Due to money and time constraints, I don't get to all outings but enjoy the ones I do get to.
