- More about me
-
I am a retired community college English instructor/Social Science and Humanities department chair. I've lived in Boston, Philadelphia, Iowa City; Kent, Ohio; Cambridge Springs, PA.; New Bern, NC; and currently on the coast at Emerald Isle, NC. During the winter, my wife and I stay at one of our two condos in Waikiki.
I will be married 42 years this May to one of my students who was in the first class I ever taught as a teaching fellow at Kent State University. Yes, I was there at the time of the massacre.
My wife and I have 9 grandchildren (5 girls, 4 boys).
- Activities
-
struggling with the New York Times Sunday Crossword Puzzle, writing sermons as a lay leader for my temple, viewing political cartoons, slugging it out on the AARP on-line forums, keeping in touch with my two remaining uncles in New England (91 and 96 years old), agonizing over the vicissitudes on Wall Street, luxuriating in frequent trips to Waikiki, entertaining and being entertained by my grandchildren.
