Apart from my family, travel is my passion.  My husband of 33 years and I love to get away in our pop-top campervan, even if it's only a few days.  We've also been to Bali (twice), Zimbabwe, Hawaii, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Whistler, New Zealand, New Caledonia.  We have two young grandchildren, the youngest just 7 weeks old, and they are keeping us close to home at the moment. 

We live near the beach on Queensland's beautiful Gold Coast (Australia) and love walking on the beach, paddling our double kayak up our many waterways, and bushwalking in the national parks.  I was born and raised in the country on a sheep and cattle property, and still like to get a bit of mud between my toes, hence my love of camping and seeing this great country.

I also like cooking (sometimes), having a beer and a barby with family and friends, love watching surfing, and keeping up with the world surfing events, intend to get back into painting, and have written a few short stories for my own pleasure.
