I've lived in Bayside, New York, Forest Hills, NY, New City, New York, Monro, NY, and now in Florida. I've been to Scandinavia for my honeymoon 40 years ago, Italy, England and Scotland (before our financial world turned upside down)

 

I am kind to others, I love my cat Pumpkin, I love my son and his wife and 2 little boys who live in Atlanta and my daughter and her husband and little girl (who will be 2 on my husband's birthday-who live in Santa Fe, New Mexico ( she really didn't have to move so far away, I would not visit her THAT much)  She is a museum curator in New Mexico.

I work for an attorney who does collection, lien and foreclosures so now we are very busy and very  un-liked !.

 I  am easy to be with, I can be very funny, sad, silly, and un-predictable.  I am unhappy with me most of the time, but I would be there  for others at any time.  I want so much to be respected, to be proud of myself, but the self hate and self disappointment outweighs how others feel about me.-

 I hope to find someone to share stories and feelings with at this site-.  Losing my husband in September 2008  so unexpectedly, and having son and daughter and 3 grandchildren far away, I need to get busy with outside activities.   My shoulds outweigh my doing. Show music that I can sing along with brings me tremendous pleasure, most music makes me feel better and now that I have a new individual CD player I can hum and smile without anyone knowing why !.

Well  much more then needed, but that's the story

 I worked in a mental health clinic f0r over 20 years in Goshen, New York and loved that job-   I collect giraffe and still have many of the ones I received from clients who were very nice to me.   I worked in the mental health clinic  in Florida, but after a few weeks, not sure who needed help more, the clients or me.

Sept 15, 2010 will be 2 years since I lost my husband and just last night told my friend that sometimes it seems that I never had a husband of 40 years and sometimes it seems like just a few months  ago.  Life takes many turns.

I enjoy walking, and try to get the gym but hardly go

Show Music, Robert Goulet (may he rest in peace as well) and almost all kinds of easy listening music. (am I getting old so fast )

Monk, Two and a Half Men, Soup, Chelsea Lately and the HBO special about a therapist and his patients.

My Cousin Vinny, Somewhere in Time, Pretty Woman, Father of the Bride and many others I cannot think of since it is 3 a.m.

There for the Grace of God Go I, "don't cross your eyes or they may stay like that" and of course "I hope you have children just like you !

My daughter and son who have become my friends and source of strength, my best friend Ronni and Fran, a special friend for support

Santa Fe, New Mexico, where my daughter and her family live, Atlanta where my son and his family live, and wish I could have gotten back to Sweden or Denmark or Norway.. but doubt it will ever happen

GIRAFFES, GIRAFFES and More Giraffes, and love cats and dogs My Pumpkin cat is a great source of pleasure when she wraps herself on my shoulder and purrs. Almost as good as a hot fresh pizza
